About Job

We are hiring for one of our client academic institutions in Birmingham in partnership with UK universities for a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance.

The role involves teaching undergraduate students on Accounting & Finance programmes and supporting their academic development through structured learning, assessment, and feedback.

This position requires flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends due to programme delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess Accounting & Finance modules at undergraduate level
• Teach subjects such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, and Audit
• Develop and update teaching materials in line with curriculum requirements
• Provide academic guidance, feedback, and student support
• Monitor student progress and maintain academic records
• Participate in academic meetings, peer review, and staff development activities
• Ensure compliance with academic standards and programme learning outcomes
• Support student engagement, retention, and progression

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (UK equivalent preferred)
• Experience in UK higher education teaching is preferred
• Strong knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles
• Ability to deliver lectures and support diverse student groups
• Good communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage workload and meet academic deadlines

Desirable:

• Professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent)
• Teaching qualification (PGCert HE / FHEA or equivalent)
