And that’s where you come in.London, Greater London, United Kingdom (On-Site)Our OpportunityWe are currently looking for a Lead Electrical Tester to join our One Field Services Team.As a Lead Electrical Tester you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical testing and installation activities are carried out in compliance with Hitachi Rail, LUL and NR procedures as well as the relevant British Standards.The Lead Electrical Tester shares responsibility for the development, management and delivery of the electrical testing programme, which forms part of Hitachi Rail’s preventative maintenance responsibilities under the Connect project.The Lead Electrical Tester will also take part in the delivery of general installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding activities on telecoms infrastructure as part of the Connect project.This role will be based in our Waterloo office and will be a working Sunday to Thursday nights.Key Responsibilities:Carry out scheduled and periodic maintenance of all Connect assets requiring electrical testingEnsure all electrical testing is completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with agreed schedulesLead and/or support the investigation and resolution of electrical faults affecting Connect assetsDiagnose and rectify failures arising from defective Connect electrical assetsWork collaboratively with London Underground Limited (LUL) personnel to resolve electrical faults impacting Connect assetsUndertake inspection, testing, and certification of new electrical installations in compliance with current regulationsComplete Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) for all Connect assets within the timeframes specified under BS 7671Review and validate Minor Works Certificates, Electrical Installation Certificates, and Electrical Installation Condition Reports prepared by Hitachi electricians to ensure full regulatory complianceVerify that all electrical certification documentation is completed accurately and to the required standardConduct annual office and site assessments alongside NICEIC inspectors to support the retention of Hitachi’s NICEIC accreditationEnsure all electrical test equipment is properly maintained and remains within calibration at all timesTechnical Skills And ExperienceProficient in using computer tools, including the Microsoft Office Suite and database systemsMust be physically fit to work within a track environment and satisfy all applicable railway medical standardsThe role holder is expected to be technically proficient and adaptable in a dynamic environmentHuman SkillsHighly organisedEffective prioritisationExcellent problem solverAbility to work under pressure with good time management skills.
