We are committed to providing the highest quality healthcare outpatient and inpatient service care. The hospital has 180 beds and 4 suites, theatres, medical and surgical wards, cardiac centre, CDU, level 2 and 3 full intensive care facilities, paediatrics, outpatient, pharmacy, diagnostic services, physiotherapy, a dedicated day surgery unit, and a new cath lab.Our new modern Radiography department is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology to include;Two general X-Ray roomsOne fluoroscopy suite, which can also be utilised as an additional X-Ray roomOne Cone Beam CT scannerOne Bone Density scanner with advanced body composition analysis capabilitiesTwo state-of-the-art mobile X-Ray unitsFour theatre image intensifiersWhat You’ll Be DoingYou will be based in the CT department with the primary aim of leading the department on a daily basis, whilst liaising closely with the General X-ray & CT Superintendent to maintain and enhance the CT imaging service and offering to our patients and stakeholders. A flexible and adaptive working attitude is crucial, along with a willingness to participate in the On-Call service.As the CT Lead Radiographer, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the Diagnostic Directorate – showing flexibility of shared tasks to ensure that we provide the best quality service. Establishing good working relationships with all areas of the wider hospital is essential.You will be working with a team of Senior and Superintendent Radiographers to provide high standards of service to all of Cromwell’s customers. The department can be very busy and the job holder must be able to work well under pressure in a complex environment.Also, as the CT Lead Radiographer, you will be performing a variety of CT examinations including full body imaging, neurological, cardiac and biopsy procedures, as well as some specialist orthopaedic imaging.You must have substantial CT Experience (minimum of 5 years) with Cardiac CT experience.EssentialQualifications/ Experience: BSc/Diploma in RadiographyHCPC RegistrationSignificant CT experience (minimum 5 years)Strong general X‑ray experienceExcellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and adapt in a fast-paced clinical settingReliable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a teamDesirableEvidence of CPDPostgraduate Certificate in CTSiemens CT experiencePrevious leadership or mentoring experienceBenefitsOur benefits are designed to make health happen for our people.
