Key Account Executive (Maternity Cover) Full Time

Location: Onsite in Reading

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Executive to cover maternity leave within our dynamic sales team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage and develop strategic client relationships, drive sales growth, and contribute to organisational success. The ideal candidate will possess strong B2B sales expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to analyse market data effectively. The position is full-time and based at our central office in Reading, offering a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and nurture key client accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
• Develop tailored sales strategies to meet client needs and maximise revenue opportunities
• Conduct regular analysis of account performance metrics and market trends to inform strategic decisions through monthly reporting
• Lead negotiations and close deals with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations and customer support
• Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to the expansion of our client base
• Provide comprehensive account updates and forecasts to senior management

Skills

• Proven experience in B2B sales with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets, ideal in the ground transportation industry/exposure to coach hire (but not essential)
• Current driving licence and access to a vehicle for client visits
• Strong analysis skills to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer feedback effectively
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to influence and motivate stakeholders at various levels
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly
• Organised with strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during a fixed-term contract
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
