British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a JUNIOR TOXICOLOGIST in Southampton What are the key objectives and expectations from this role? This role is part of the Toxicology team which is responsible for the delivery of toxicological ingredients, material and product evaluations in accordance with guidelines from the Product Stewardship Council (PSC) in line with the R&D Policy Framework, Corporate Positions and specific legislation for our product categories. This role plays an integral role in delivering innovations to market.What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organisation?
Deliver desk based toxicological evaluations in accordance with Consumer Product Safety guidelines, the R&D policy framework to support BATs portfolio. Toxicological evaluations will be carried out to support different stages of product development, covering discovery, development and deploy.
This role is under the guidance of the team manager and with the support of other team members. The role holder will be responsible for their own workload management and communicating with stakeholders (line managers and Project teams) on progress to achieve business milestones. The role involves overcoming challenging assessments, outside the box thinking and outlining data requirements/gaps to build robust safety evaluations of BAT products.
