Job Description – Junior Editor
Location: Sassy+ Elstree (Primarily) & Sassy+ Farringdon
Position: Full-Time (9am – 5.30pm Mon to Fri)
Salary Range: £30-32k

ROLE SUMMARY:
Sassy+ is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Junior Editor to join our growing Post Production team across our Elstree HQ and Farringdon Studios. In this role, you’ll work closely with our full-time team of editors, motion graphic artists and edit assistants and will have the opportunity to cut a wide range of projects. From branded content, editorial pieces and corporate films, to onsite red-carpet sizzles and PR launch assets, you’ll play a key part organizing, syncing and editing projects along with supporting editors on their edits and workflows. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work closely with all members of the Sassy+ team to deliver work of the highest standard, on time and within budget.
· Help provide creative input for projects where needed, working with storyboards and scripts to help create engaging and effective content.
· Ingest of material, proxy creation and sync-up of footage/sound, working with the wider Post Production team to maintain backups and perform mastering when needed.
· Provide assistance to editors with sync-pulls, cutdowns, reversions, B-roll production, social versioning etc
· Take charge of your own edits, working closely with Producers and Creative Directors to produce high quality films
· Work closely with our graphics and sound teams to ensure efficient workflows are in place and standards followed.
· Ensure best-in-class processes are in place and for media creation and backup workflows
· Continue to develop expertise in editing & post-production techniques.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
· Minimum of 1-2yrs editing experience working across a varied spectrum of clients, in a fast-paced agency or production environment.
· Good knowledge Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of Avid Media Composer.
· Experience with AI image and video generation (Nano Banana, Seedance/dream, Kling etc) and AI upscaling tools (Topaz, Magnific etc)
· Ability to provide edit support on-location in a high-pressure environment.
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively.
· Ability to work independently and efficiently under time pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
· Strong communication, organisation, administrative and time management skills, as well as an excellent attention to detail.
· A desire to take ownership and responsibility for Sassy+ project activity, delivery and the quality of editing work.
· Must have a willingness to work long hours as needed, often under pressure.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
· Delivery of high-quality output for our projects and clients.
· Effective support on projects from concept to delivery of edits, on time.
· Feedback on the handling of projects by senior team members at Sassy+.
· Performance to be formally reviewed after three months and then once per year.
