Junior Camera Operator Full Time NEW

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Camera Operator to join our fast-paced and growing team at GB News. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in broadcasting, with a strong interest in camera work, field operations, and outside broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities And Main Tasks

• Assist camera operators with day-to-day production and filming tasks
• Manage and maintain the camera storeroom, ensuring all equipment is organised and functional
• Support London-based deployments and major outside broadcasts (OBs)
• Assist in large-scale event setups where camera support is required
• Build and maintain a centralised database to track all camera equipment
• Liaise with the Engineering team to ensure all LiveU units are maintained and up to date

Required Skills & Experience

• A degree relevant to broadcasting, media production, or a related field
• Strong interest in camera equipment and live production environments
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced setting
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-location assignments

Desirable Skills (Optional But Beneficial)

• Basic understanding of camera systems and broadcast equipment
• Familiarity with outside broadcast workflows
• Experience with equipment tracking or inventory systems
