IT Support Engineer (Fixed Term Contract) Full Time

We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to join Clear Group and play a key role in supporting and improving our IT service delivery.

This is an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, and we are ideally looking for someone who can start immediately.

As we continue to grow, we’re building out our Service Desk capability, and this role will sit at the centre of that – resolving complex issues, supporting users across the business, and helping strengthen how our IT function operates.

This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working across infrastructure and systems, and making a real difference to the day-to-day experience of colleagues.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will:

• Resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues escalated from the Service Desk
• Support and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments
• Provide clear, practical technical support to users across the business
• Diagnose and troubleshoot infrastructure and system-related issues
• Maintain and improve IT systems, processes, and documentation
• Work closely with IT colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the team

• Technical issues are resolved efficiently with minimal disruption to the business
• Users feel supported, informed, and confident in IT services
• Systems are stable, reliable, and well maintained
• IT processes and documentation are clear, consistent, and up to date
• The Service Desk operates smoothly with strong escalation and resolution capability

What you’ll bring

You should bring:

• Experience in a Second or Third Line IT support role (or similar)
• Strong technical knowledge across hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting
• Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex IT infrastructure issues
• Familiarity with IT service management tools
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
• Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice to have (but not essential)

• Relevant certifications (e.g. MCP, CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation)
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra, or Exchange
• Knowledge of scripting or automation (e.g. PowerShell)
• Understanding of IT security principles
