IT Service Design Lead
Carlisle / Hybrid
6 Month Contract
Up to £500 per day (Inside IR35)
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a financial services organisation currently undergoing a significant transformation programme, creating an entirely new IT ecosystem and outsourcing the full suite of systems and support services to TCS.
As part of this journey, the business is looking to appoint an experienced IT Service Design Lead to help shape, design and assure the operational service model ahead of go-live.
This is not a BAU Service Management position. The role requires someone who has worked within large-scale outsourced or managed service environments at the pre-implementation stage and understands the governance, operational readiness and service acceptance activity required to successfully transition services into live operation.
The successful individual will work closely with internal stakeholders and third-party providers to ensure scalable, robust and ITIL-aligned service processes are designed and implemented in line with agreed frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- IT Service Design & Service Transition
- Operational Readiness & Service Acceptance pre go-live
- Designing and implementing IT service management processes
- Governance, SLAs & KPI frameworks
- Supplier assurance and third-party challenge
- ITIL aligned Service Management
- Go-live preparation and operational support models
- Supporting large-scale outsourced / managed service environments
Essential experience:
- Financial services environment
- Experience implementing IT Services within complex organisations
- Strong IT Service Design & Service Transition background
- Operational Readiness & Service Acceptance experience ahead of go-live
- Experience working with outsourced or managed service providers
- Strong understanding of ITIL aligned Service Management
- Experience supporting transformation, migration or outsourcing programmes
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills
Contract details:
- 6 months initially
- Inside IR35
- Up to £500 per day
- Hybrid working with c2-4 days per month in Carlisle
