Key Responsibilities

You’ll be a vital part of our IT team — keeping systems running and supporting the people who keep planes moving. ✈️💻

You will:

Technical and processes:

• Provide specialist 24-hour / 7 days a week UK IT service delivery and support onsite at EMA / LHR and LTN (depending on location of postholder).
• Monitor IT systems to ensure maximum uptime.
• Configuration, deployment and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Provide Microsoft Office, Citrix & AS400, and specialist application support expertise.
• Ensure all tickets are logged, and are resolved within the expected time limit.
• Identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain assets as per the ITAM Asset Management process; regularly audit IT assets across the business.
• Ensure that the Knowledge Base is constantly updated and distributed across the team, ensuring the benefit and best practice across the function.
• Help ensure that IT security is maintained and that required standards are adhered to.
• Follow DHL standards and guidelines ensuring compliance.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by the EMA IT Service Delivery Management.

Stakeholder management:

• Maintain a professional, customer service like approach when dealing with stakeholders across the business.
• Be proactive in communicating when issues occur, ensure the right audience is informed or what the issue is, what impact it is having and what is being done to resolve the situation.
• Supporting the IT Infrastructure Team.
• Support the IT Asset Manager with Project related activities, keeping deadlines and commitments.
• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and vendors relating to hardware, software and infrastructure, either during BAU (business as usual) or as part of project work.

Health and Safety:

• Complete a Information Communications Technician apprenticeship qualification
