Working within our manufacturing teams, you will carry out a range of routine and non-routine laboratory tasks, ensuring products meet strict quality and safety standards.
You will use your judgement and attention to detail to identify and resolve issues, escalating concerns when needed to protect donors, patients, and colleagues.
As a more experienced team member, you will also support and guide others, sharing knowledge and promoting best practice. This is a hands-on, practical role where your contribution directly supports the delivery of life-saving healthcare services.
There Are Two Working Patterns On Offer
Full-time, 5 nights, 37.5 hours per week, Wednesday to Sunday:
Wednesday 23:59 to Thursday 07:59
Thursday 23:59 to Friday 07:59
Friday 23:59 to Saturday 07:59
Saturday 23:59 to Sunday 07:59
Sunday 23:59 to Monday 07:59
Part-time, 2 nights, 15 hours per week, Thursday and Friday.

Friday 23:59 to Saturday 07:59
Main Duties Of The Job
Safely process blood donations in line with standard operating procedures and quality requirements.
Carry out routine and non-routine laboratory tasks with accuracy and care.
Identify defects, errors, or unusual incidents and escalate concerns appropriately.
Maintain clear and accurate records to required standards.
Work collaboratively as part of a manufacturing team.
Provide guidance and on-the-job training to less experienced colleagues.
Support continuous improvement of processes and equipment.
About You
Experience and Knowledge
Experience of working as part of a team in an operational or technical environment.
Experience of using computers and basic IT systems.
Experience of working in a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or laboratory environment.
Experience of operating within a regulated environment.
Qualifications And Training. At Least One Of The Following
A level or NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications
Extensive experience working in a logistics/supply chain environment.
Equivalent extensive experience of routine NHSBT procedures and understanding of non-routine procedures.
