Ward 31 is a 23 bedded, dedicated fracture neck of femur ward and is the only ward of its kind in Scotland. It is a busy, forward thinking ward within a diverse directorate, working collaboratively across the Orthopaedic Department.Our patient population is predominantly frail and elderly, with many patients experiencing delirium, dementia, and a range of acute medical conditions alongside complex orthopaedic needs. Delivering high quality, compassionate, and person centred care is central to the work of the ward.Successful applicants will join a highly motivated and dynamic multidisciplinary team who are committed to delivering the highest standard of care and continuously improving patient outcomes. The team works closely with medical staff, therapists, and wider support services to ensure safe, effective, and timely care.The post includes rotational shift working, covering day and night duty, in line with service needs.Although the post is based in Ward 31, there may be opportunities to gain experience across our Trauma and Elective Orthopaedic Wards.
