A financial services organisation based in London is seeking a Hands-On Head of IT to take ownership of its internal technology environment.
This is a key role within a small team, combining technical leadership with hands-on responsibility across infrastructure, systems, and user support.
Responsibilities:
- Ownership of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud environments
- Hands-on involvement in desktop and server issue resolution
- Management and development of a small IT team
- Delivery of IT improvements and alignment with business requirements
- Vendor and third-party management
- Ensuring stability, security, and performance of systems
- Engaging with senior stakeholders across the business
Requirements:
- Experience in a hands-on IT Manager or Head of IT role
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and server environments
- Ability to balance technical delivery with strategic input
- Experience within financial services or banking
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement
- Exposure to payment systems would be advantageous
