Human + Machine is a generative AI consulting boutique founded by Hugo Pinto. We help professional services firms — audit, tax, legal, advisory — turn AI from a shadow risk into a measurable productivity advantage. We deliver three things: fractional AI leadership, CPD-accredited training and enablement, and keynote speaking. Clients and experience have included Accenture, IBM, KPMG, MTV Networks, O2 and Partners Group. We work in the UK and continental Europe, and deliver our trade in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
We work in partnership with The GenAI Academy on enterprise training and a fully online version of our flagship programme — giving our clients both live workshops and a scalable academy platform their teams can move through at their own pace.
We are unusual for a consultancy in that we ship working software alongside the strategy work — interactive training tools, assessment platforms, AI adoption dashboards, lead capture systems, governance frameworks. The August 2026 EU AI Act literacy deadline and the rise of unsanctioned “shadow AI” inside professional services firms are driving a step-change in demand. We are growing the team to meet it.
The role
This is a graduate role for someone who wants to spend their first three to five years in AI training and consulting and come out genuinely operator-grade — not slide-deck grade. You will work directly with the founder. There is no layer between you and the client work, and no layer between you and the consequences of doing it well or badly.
In a typical month you will support a CPD-accredited GenAI workshop delivered to an executive team, build or extend an interactive training asset (we deliver in HTML/JS as well as PowerPoint), draft thought leadership for the H+M brand, prepare research and benchmarking for a fractional AI leadership engagement, and contribute to the build-out of our productised tools. You will travel between London and client locations when needed, most likely in continental Europe.
What you will actually do
• Co-deliver GenAI training workshops in client rooms — observing first, then leading sections, then leading whole sessions. Programmes run in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
• Build and maintain interactive training assets, presentations, and exercises. We use Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot daily as build tools — you will get fluent fast.
• Contribute to the H+M AI academy: course content, video scripts, knowledge checks, learner feedback loops, free courses.
• Research client industries and write the analysis that goes into proposals, statements of work, and fractional engagement playbooks.
• Contribute to our published thought leadership on the H+M brand — drafts, edits, supporting research, and your own bylined pieces once you have something to say.
• Help operate the H+M website and lead generation system — landing pages, gated resources, email flows, simple analytics.
• Own the logistics and delivery quality of training programmes end-to-end: pre-reads, exercise materials, timers, translations, post-session measurement.
• Sit in on advisory calls with senior client stakeholders. Take notes, then take actions, then take points of view, and hopefully you will leads parts of the business.
What we are looking for
• A strong academic record — typically 2:1 or above. We care more about how you think than what you studied; STEM, humanities, social sciences and business backgrounds are all welcome.
• Visible hunger to work in AI training and consulting specifically. You should be able to tell us, unprompted, what you have built or written or shipped using AI tools in the last six months.
• Strong written English. You can hold a clear argument across a 600-word piece without hiding behind jargon, or a computer screen – presence is key.
• Comfort with light technical work: writing prompts, working in HTML/Markdown, editing JavaScript with AI assistance, navigating Google Sheets formulas, basic Git. You do not need to be a software engineer. You do need to be unafraid of a code editor.
• Spanish or Portuguese is a strong plus given our delivery footprint – fluency in other languages is an invaluable asset. Native or near-native English required.
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
• Curiosity and proactivity.
What this role is not
It is not a graduate scheme with rotations and a buddy. It is not a research role. It is not a place to hide. You will be visible to clients in your first week, you will get useful feedback faster than you are used to, and you will be expected to act on it.
