About us
The Fresh Pasta Company is a London-based artisan fresh pasta maker, supplying major UK retailers, foodservice operators and some of London’s best-known delis and restaurants. Our Bermondsey pastificio is a small, focused team producing fresh pasta to a quality standard you can be proud of.
The role
You’ll work as part of our production team making fresh filled and plain pasta from scratch every day. The work is hands-on, fast-paced, and requires care. Typical responsibilities include:
– Operating pasta sheeting, filling and cutting machines
– Preparing fillings and dough to recipe
– Packing, weighing, labelling and date-coding finished product
– Following HACCP and food safety procedures
– Cleaning down equipment and the production area at end of shift
– Supporting the daily production schedule alongside the production supervisor
What we need from you
– Right to work in the UK (essential)
– Previous food production experience (essential)
– Experience making fresh pasta commercially (strong advantage – higher starting pay available)
– Comfortable with early morning starts (typically 7am, occasionally earlier) and Saturday mornings
– Physically fit, able to stand for a full shift and lift up to 20kg
– Good attention to detail and care for product quality
– Reliable, punctual, team player
Pay and progression
– £14.00/hr starting rate for general food production background
– Higher starting rate for candidates with proven fresh pasta production experience (discussed at interview)
– Pay reviewed after 3-month probation based on performance
– Further reviews annually thereafter
