The Opportunity:
British Transport Police (BTP) have an opportunity for a Forensic Imaging Support Officer to join the Scientific Support Unit.
As a Forensic Imaging Support Officer with BTP, you will support the forensic recovery, enhancement and presentation of digital and analogue media to the highest evidential standards.
This is a foundation role designed for individuals with limited or no experience in live casework involving CCTV or digital media. You will be given the opportunity to build your technical skills, gain hands‑on experience and progress towards becoming a fully trained and competent Forensic Imaging Officer. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting investigations by producing high‑quality forensic media outputs that meet strict evidential requirements.

Travel across England, Scotland, and Wales may be necessary.
Exposure to unlawful and sometimes disturbing material is expected.
Shift work may include hours between 07:00–21:00 and weekends.
