Financials Credit – Investment Professional Full Time

The role is focused on conducting in-depth fundamental and relative value analysis within financials credit, investing across the capital structure with a flexible mandate spanning both primary and secondary markets.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will focus on fundamental and relative value analysis across financial institutions, with responsibility for generating investment ideas and supporting portfolio positioning across the capital structure. The role offers significant exposure to a broad range of financial credit instruments and close collaboration with an experienced investment team where you will have a strong influence over investment decisions.

Candidates at Senior Associate and VP-level are desired, however more senior investment professionals are also being considered for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth fundamental and relative value analysis across EMEA financial bonds including banks, insurers, debt collectors, and REITs
• Develop investment views and strategies across the capital structure, including AT1s, RT1s, T2s, and seniors
• Generate actionable investment ideas supported by bottom-up fundamental analysis and relative value frameworks for hedge fund and long only strategies
• Identify and evaluate opportunities across both primary and secondary markets
• Work closely with senior investors, with direct exposure to investment discussions and positioning decisions
• Monitor market developments, issuer fundamentals, and sector trends to inform portfolio positioning

The team is looking to hire a mid to senior level candidate from either the buy-side or sell-side with strong expertise generating investment ideas focused on financial institutions, however it is worth noting they are flexible regarding seniority for outstanding profiles. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of financials credit (AT1s, RT1s, T2s, seniors) and of a range of financial institutions (banks, insurers, debt collectors, REITs etc), proven experience in conducting relative value and fundamental analysis, and with a background in either credit research, credit trading or portfolio management. Strong analytical capability, intellectual curiosity, and clear communication skills are essential.
