In this role, you will contribute directly to the smooth running of our financial services. You’ll use your communication skills to support colleagues across the council, providing guidance and administrative support that ensures efficient, accurate, and safe financial arrangements.

What will you be doing?
You will provide high quality, technical and financial support services to the Council. It is an essential part of the role to ensure that consistent, accurate and timely financial management information and advice is available for managers and other stakeholders to be able to make informed decisions about their services.
As a Finance Assistant in the Accounts Payable team you can expect to work with customers, suppliers, budget holders and colleagues based both in the business and within our own directorate. You may also provide support to internal and external auditors, and colleagues within the external organisations for whom we provide services.
