Duties

• Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues within systems and processes.
• Develop detailed schematics and system designs using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools.
• Manage projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
• Design and programme control systems using programmable logic controllers (PLCs), C++, Python, and MATLAB.
• Analyse data to optimise system performance and troubleshoot technical problems effectively.
• Apply systems engineering principles to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Utilise GD&T standards for precise manufacturing specifications and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with construction teams during system installation and testing phases.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, analyses, and project progress.

Experience

• Proven experience in systems engineering or related technical fields with a strong foundation in CAD (SolidWorks, CAD).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB.
• Hands-on laboratory experience with data analysis, system testing, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles, construction processes, and GD&T standards.
• Familiarity with schematic development using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
• Background in project management and system design within engineering environments.

Pay: £100.00-£1,500.00 per week
