We’re looking for motivated, skilled and relationship-focused professionals to join our Family Help service as Family Help Consultants.

We have an exciting opportunity for 5 new positions of Family Help Consultants to join our Children’s Services Team. You will be based in one of our Localities (Amber Valley, Chesterfield, Erewash, High Peak/North Dales, North East/Bolsover and South Derbyshire/South Dales)

Purpose of this role:

Provide professional practice information, advice and guidance to partner agencies e.g. schools, health and VCI sector.

Contribute to the provision of an efficient and effective Family Help service supporting the Families First Partnership Programme (FFPP)

Raise awareness of the importance of early intervention.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Family Help Consultant, you will play a key role in strengthening early help across partner agencies. You’ll work closely with schools, health services, and voluntary sector partners to improve outcomes and reduce escalation into statutory services.

You will:

• Provide expert advice, guidance and challenge to professionals across agencies
• Build and sustain strong local partnerships
• Support and mentor others to deliver effective early intervention
• Facilitate multi-agency working.
• Deliver training and workforce development
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive directory of early intervention services for families and professionals.
• Use data and local insight to drive service improvement, identify gaps in provision and influence commissioning

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience in education, health, or children’s services
• Has a strong understanding of Early Help and safeguarding thresholds
• Can build strong relationships and influence practice across organisations
• Is confident delivering presentations, training and professional guidance
• Has excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
• Is flexible and committed to working across localities and partnerships
