Factory & Packing Assistant Full Time

Whitehill Tools is a leading industrial tool manufacturer in the UK, with an opportunity for a well-motivated individual who is keen to progress.

We have a permanent opportunity for someone that enjoys working with their hands, with a willingness to learn and a positive can-do attitude.

The Factory & Packing Assistant role involves preparing our customer’s tooling orders and dispatching them for delivery; the position includes although not limited to these tasks;

• Assembling woodworking machine tools, from a provided list of components and sometimes also a technical diagram.
• Sending machined tools off to third-party companies for coating and receiving the coated tools back into stock.
• Cleaning tools and components before being sent out to the customer
• Maintaining stock levels and comparing to our internal IT system.
• Reporting any issues with tool assembly and getting help as required.
• You will also be packing the tooling orders into boxes for delivery and liaising with our couriers.

You will be required to use some different tools so some experience at least with using a screwdriver would be a bonus.

There is quite a lot of checking and updating information on our internal IT systems, so some necessary computer skills are required.

There are so many different skill sets at Whitehill as we are predominately an engineering company, so this the perfect opportunity for someone with a willingness to learn.

Salary dependent on experience

Usual working hours 7:30 am – 4.00pm, Monday to Friday
