You’ll be supported by a collaborative team, bespoke training, and a culture that rewards ambition and integrity.The teamThe External Business Development Manager (EBDM) role is a key position within the retail sales team. The successful candidate will take ownership of the South Central region, developing a clear regional strategy across Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex to retain, grow and develop relationships with Financial Advisers and Private Banks. This is a highly visible, externally facing role focused on driving commercial outcomes through strong account management, targeted business development activity and consistent adviser engagement. Success in role will come from combining strategic territory management with high-quality relationship building, supported by close collaboration with Internal Business Development Managers, Fund Managers and Business Line Managers. What you’ll be doingOwn and deliver a regional sales strategyBuild and grow relationships with Financial Advisers and Private BanksLead face-to-face meetings, events and presentationsCollaborate with Internal Business Development Managers to create and execute business plansCommunicate a complex suite of investment solutions with clarity and confidenceWork closely with Fund Managers and Business Line Managers to ensure product alignmentKeep CRM systems updated and manage a busy inbox with easeAlways act in the best interest of the customerQualificationsTo be successful in this role, you’ll need:✔️ Proven experience in a business development role within financial services✔️ A track record of growing existing relationships and attracting new ones✔️ High-quality interpersonal skills, honesty and integrity✔️ A clear, articulate communication style✔️ Drive, ambition and self-motivation✔️Be in commutable distance to South Central.
