Education People are working in partnership with a progressive secondary school in the Reading area to recruit a Senior English Teacher / Head of Faculty.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead teaching and learning across the English faculty, drive student outcomes, and contribute to whole-school improvement. Ideal for a strong classroom practitioner ready to step into—or further develop within—a leadership role.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop teaching staff within the faculty
- Drive high standards of teaching, learning and achievement
- Use data to monitor progress and implement targeted interventions
- Deliver an inclusive, high-quality English curriculum
- Contribute to whole-school strategy and improvement
About you:
- QTS with a strong background in English teaching
- Proven track record of raising attainment
- Experience leading or supporting colleagues
- Passion for achieving excellent outcomes for all students
