This pivotal role holds primary responsibility for the provision of specialist nursing for a defined patient/client group, practicing autonomously as a core member of the multi-disciplinary team (working with ward based teams, theatres, pre-assessment and outpatients). You will provide specialist advice, education and support to patients, their carers and other health care professionals. You will practice clinically in agreed care settings and advise and support Divisions regarding the overall management of the service. The post holder will also work across professional, departmental and Trust boundaries as required to develop and support patient-centred seamless care, with responsibility for leading nurse-led care initiatives.What We’re Looking For In line with the Trust values, we pride ourselves in maintaining high standards of patient care and offer exemplary support to our employees. Person specificationQualifications, Knowledge And ExperienceEssential criteriaRegistered nurse on relevant part of the NMC registerLevel 7 Post Grad Cert (Min 60 Credits), Master’s Degree within relevant speciality or equivalent knowledge to be assessed through evidence of relevant speciality training, experience or portfolioSpecialist training / Qualification in area of practiceProvide evidence of leading learning in practiceEvidence of experience and completion of all band 6 competencies within relevant specialityEvidence of change Management, leadership and innovationDesirable criteriaCounselling / advanced communication skills qualification / trainingRegistered as an independent prescriberLeadership Qualification / trainingTrust Values and BehavioursEssential criteriaPatients FirstAlways ImprovingWorking Together
