Details of Position
Bede’s Summer School are looking for suitably qualified, talented EFL Teachers who not only have a passion for teaching, but also the ability to adapt to the different aspects of the role. We are looking to fill positions for Summer 2026.
EFL Teachers are responsible for planning relevant, structured, well-paced, varied and enjoyable English lessons following Bede’s syllabus. They will help develop students’ language skills, increase their vocabulary base, build their confidence and fluency when speaking English while giving them an insight into popular English culture, habits, traits and beliefs.

The Working Day:
A typical working day for EFL Teachers is from 8:00am to 6:00pm, depending on the course and centre, and consists of teaching lessons in the morning, lunch break, further lessons and up to 3 hours of paid preparation and administrative time in the afternoons.
On Fridays, EFL Teachers work until 7:45pm so they can attend the student Leavers Ceremony which is a great way of engaging with international students from all over the world.
Teachers are required to attend 1×30 minute CPD session per week. The session is aimed at further developing their teaching skills.
EFL Teachers (5 Days) are entitled to 2 days off at the weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
EFL Teachers (6 Days) are entitled to 1 full day off per week, usually a Saturday or Sunday.
We have a variety of contracts available at all 5 of our centres – Eastbourne (6-11yrs), Windlesham (8-13yrs), Dicker (12-17yrs), Lancing (13-17yrs), Brighton (15-20yrs).
We are also looking for Welfare Managers, Activity Managers, Senior Activity Leaders, Senior House Parents, Activity Leaders, House Parents, Administrators and Airport Coordinators.

Qualifications
Cambridge CELTA
- A University degree in any discipline (Business Studies Teachers must have a specific degree in a business related field)
- CELTA or Trinity College TESOL or PGCE in English or Modern Foreign Languages (or Accreditation UK equivalent)
- At least 1 years experience teaching Young Learners
- Other qualifications defined by Accreditation UK are accepted, please inquire
Salary and Benefits
Salary And Benefits:
EFL Teachers (6 Days): £730.00 per week + 12.07% (holiday pay) – total weekly pay £818.11
EFL Teachers (5 Days): £600.00 per week + 12.07% (holiday pay) – total weekly pay £672.42
- The % stated is in line with statutory holiday pay and could be subject to change. Holiday pay is received with each salary payment.
