Overview
To provide a friendly and welcoming point of contact to anyone interested in adopting a dog from Durham Dogs & Cats Home. Working alongside the Adoptions Manager to review registration forms to try and identify suitable matches, booking in appointments and conducting introductions. Cleaning rehoming kennels and ensuring dogs are well cared for, including daily exercise/enrichment and training where needs are identified.
Our job is not easy at the best of times, so having a positive, can do attitude is vital. The position can be physically demanding and you may be on your feet all day. You will be required to work outside in all weathers.
Working 8am-5pm, 4 days on, 2 days off on a rolling rota to include weekends and bank holidays. You may be required to work extra during busy periods.
