Are you a self-motivated individual, committed to excellent customer service with great interpersonal skills?Dorset Healthcare are looking for enthusiastic individuals to drive in the community as Urgent Care Assistants for the Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service across Dorset.You will be joining a dedicated team that supports patient care, safely driving clinicians to Dorset community based patients and supporting in the delivery of care in patient’s homes where appropriate and training has been undertaken.This role is based in Shaftesbury at Westminster Memorial Hospital. Full training and development will be offered to successful candidates.This role is a permanent part time position supporting a 24/7 service. Shift patterns will include public holidays, evening, late shifts and weekends. Enhanced shift allowance will be paid for out of hours working.Rotas available are 15.75 and 15.5 hours per week. Ensure you hold valid right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship if successful.This role is varied and interesting where candidates require good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, relatives and other staff groups.Responsibilities IncludeMaintain adequate stock and drugs in the urgent care carsCarry out daily safety vehicle checksEnsure the cars are kept well organised and cleanTo cover receptionist when requiredTo assist the clinician in delivering care in the patients homeAccepting cases from dispatch and driving the clinician to the next visitEmployment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.
