Role: Digital Learning Project Manager
Location: Reading, Berkshire (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months
Client: Global Pharmaceutical Company
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Digital Learning Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of digital learning initiatives for a Pharmaceutical company’s Digital Learning Development (DLD) function. Digital Learning Development is a multi-disciplinary team, serving the needs of their Global Pharmaceutical, Quality and Commercialization learning academies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, instructional design, and digital learning technologies. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to create engaging and effective learning experiences that meet the needs of our organization and its learners.
By collaborating with the Head of DLD, you will play an integral role in delivering outstanding customer service and establishing the operational structure necessary for scalable growth and sustained success.
Key Responsibilities
• Project Planning and Management
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for digital learning initiatives. Ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
• Oversee resource pool selection to guarantee efficient allocation for each project. Make essential choices regarding priorities, scope, and strategies for reducing risks
• Assign and manage contracted managed services and vendors for external asset creation
• Utilize project management software for end-to-end project management tracking
• Provide periodical reporting data
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with Learning Academy clients, subject matter experts, instructional designers, and DLD resources to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives
• Coordinate project kick-offs and provide ongoing updates when required
• Apply the ADDIE methodology with flexibility and agility to adapt effectively as circumstances require
Content Development Oversight
• Supervise the creation and curation of digital learning content, including rapid and highly customised e-learning modules, Bespoke Learning Platforms, Branding, videos, and interactive resources etc.
• Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the effectiveness and usability of digital learning materials
Qualification & Competencies:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Instructional Design, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in a digital learning or educational technology environment.
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
• Proficiency in project management software and digital learning platforms (e.g., LMS, authoring tools).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile) is a plus.
