About the roleKickstart your career in data and administration with this exciting Data Admin Apprentice opportunity! You’ll join our Performance & Insights team, supporting statutory reporting, data validation, and administrative processes that ensure the council operates smoothly and meets its obligations.This role is ideal for someone organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about data management in a professional environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the collection, validation, and entry of data for statutory reports Assist in preparing and submitting reports on time and accurately Manage team email inboxes and respond to data queries efficiently Support responses to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests Liaise with internal teams to gather and verify data Help improve data reporting processes and identify workflow efficiencies Assist with transition to automated reporting solutions Contribute to maintaining high data quality and integrity Provide general administrative support to the wider team About YouGCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and ICT Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic data entry processes Ability to organise tasks and manage time effectively Good communication skills for liaising with colleagues and stakeholders Ability to work independently and as part of a team Eager to learn and develop skills in data reporting and administration Desirable:Previous experience in data administration or similar role Familiarity with statutory reporting requirements Eligibility CriteriaApplicants must: Meet the residency criteria of 3 years lawful residence in the UK Hold a visa that covers the full length of the apprenticeship, where applicable Not be in full-time education at the time of applyingWhy Join Us?This apprenticeship offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in local government data functions, learn from experienced professionals, and develop practical skills in data management, reporting, and administration.
