Company Description Iolas Capital is a family-led investment firm focused on helping established UK businesses achieve sustainable, profitable growth and long-term success. The firm has deep expertise in the built environment, including property services, construction, and interiors, while also investing across a range of other sectors. Its approach is grounded in understanding each business in depth, strengthening financial and operational foundations, and developing leadership from within. Iolas Capital aligns its success with portfolio teams through profit-sharing and structured performance management. The firm is committed to disciplined investment, leadership excellence, and building resilient businesses across the UK.
We are actively pursuing acquisitions and are on an ambitious growth trajectory. This means the business is evolving quickly, and the people who join us now will grow with it.
Our founders are also building their public presence — including promoting The Ownership Journey, a podcast focused on entrepreneurship, investment, and business building. The right hire will contribute to that alongside their core responsibilities.
Role Description The Customer Acquisition Associate is a full-time role based in Greater London with a hybrid working model, combining time in the office with the option to work from home on agreed days.
This is a hands-on, results-focused role centred on growing Iolas Capital’s client base and keeping our existing relationships warm and active. You’ll be driving the marketing and acquisition activity at a group level — with direct ownership of the channels and tools that drive new business.
We’re open to marketing or business graduates with relevant work experience (placements, internships, freelance, or side projects) as well as junior candidates with up to 2 years in a similar role. What matters most is that you’re proactive, commercially minded, and can execute without needing a lot of hand-holding.
For the right person, this role has significant potential to grow in scope and seniority as the business expands.
What You’ll Be Doing
CRM Development & Client Outreach
Own and develop the group CRM — building it out, maintaining data quality, and ensuring it drives consistent activity. You’ll run ongoing warm outreach to our existing client base, keeping relationships alive and surfacing new opportunities across the portfolio.
Email Campaigns & Funnels
Plan and execute email campaigns targeting both prospects and existing clients. You’ll build and manage drip sequences, write the copy, set up automations, and continuously optimise performance. You’ll also support the build of lead generation funnels — from landing pages through to conversion.
Newsletters
Write and manage a regular newsletter that keeps our client base informed and engaged — positioning Iolas Capital as a trusted partner across the built environment.
Appointment Setting
As inbound and outbound activity generates interest, you’ll take responsibility for qualifying leads and booking them into the right conversations — whether that’s with the founders, a senior lead, or the relevant business unit. This means managing follow-up, handling initial enquiries, and making sure no lead falls through the cracks. Over time, this could develop into a more structured appointment setting function as the pipeline grows.
Brand & Social Support
As a secondary responsibility, support the founders with LinkedIn content and personal brand activity, including content connected to The Ownership Journey podcast.
Who We’re Looking For
• A graduate with a placement year, internship, or freelance experience in marketing, sales, or business development — or a junior candidate with up to 2 years in role
• Commercially minded with an understanding of how marketing drives revenue
• A strong writer who can communicate clearly and persuasively across different formats
• Proactive and self-sufficient — comfortable owning tasks end to end
• Organised and disciplined about CRM hygiene and consistent outreach
• Familiarity with CRM platforms and tools like Mailchimp, HubSpot, or ActiveCampaign is a plus — experience with Go High Level would be particularly helpful
What You’ll Get
• Direct ownership of customer acquisition across a £20m+ group
• Exposure to a private equity business spanning multiple sectors and clients
• Close working relationship with the founders and senior leadership
• Significant scope to grow as the business scales and acquires
• Broad commercial experience across B2B outreach, campaigns, and brand
