About This Role
This role provides leadership of a subject area to ensure high standards of teaching, learning and assessment, resulting in strong student progress and attainment. The Curriculum Leader is accountable for developing and implementing a coherent curriculum and assessment framework that meets the needs of all learners and aligns with Trust and school expectations.
The role includes line management of colleagues, supporting their development through coaching, mentoring and professional dialogue, and contributing to a positive team culture.
The Curriculum Leader monitors performance, uses data to inform improvement, and ensures consistent application of school policies, including behaviour, safeguarding and inclusion. The role contributes to whole-school and Trust priorities, supporting collaboration and continuous improvement.

About The School
Maiden Erlegh School in Reading is an ambitious, over-subscribed 11-16 secondary school in an urban context which is as committed to the welfare of students and staff as it is to our high-quality education.
