We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to join our high‑performing Finance team based in Glasgow on a 12 month fixed-term contract. If you’re confident managing a busy ledger, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring invoices are paid efficiently and on time, this role offers the chance to make a real impact in a fast‑paced, global business.

What you’ll be doing
- Managing a portfolio of client accounts and ensuring prompt invoice payment
- Using all available communication channels—with a strong focus on outbound calls
- Building strong internal and external relationships to drive payment and query resolution
- Delivering monthly targets across aged debt, cash collection and DSO
- Producing monthly customer statements
- Working closely with Sales Ledger, Placement Support and Billing to maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer records
- Ensuring all activity is accurately recorded
- Attending regular ledger reviews with the Credit Control Manager/Team Lead
- Escalating accounts to Legal or Trade Debt Partners where appropriate
- Maintaining high levels of financial compliance and process adherence
- Supporting team initiatives and continuous improvement projects
What you’ll bring
- Previous finance or collections experience
- Fluent Dutch or French (desirable, not essential)
- Understanding of credit risk principles
- Experience managing a high‑volume ledger
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills
- Skilled negotiator able to influence outcomes
- Comfortable reviewing and analysing financial data
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
- A self‑starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
