Job OverviewThis is an opportunity for a dynamic individual to lead the development of creative health across the North East London (NEL) health and care system. Working with primary stakeholders NEL Integrated Care Board, the London Boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Waltham Forest, Havering and Tower Hamlets, and North East London Foundation Trust the Creative Health Lead will build on the foundations of the Creative Health Associates Pilot to drive coordinated, system-wide change.The role is part of the National Centre for Creative Health’s Creative Health Leads Programme, supported by Arts Council England and The Baring Foundation, with strategic backing from London Arts and Health.The role will be employed by NELFT Patient Carer Race Equality (PCREF) team and hosted within the NEL ICB Health Inequalities & Improvement team, ensuring system-level reach, influence and accountability to reduce health inequalities. The role will focus particularly on reaching NEL’s diverse global majority communities (53% of the population), addressing the stark disparities where 60% of people in the most deprived neighbourhoods have long-term conditions versus 30% in the least deprived areas.Main duties of the jobThis role is grounded in the following NEL Creative Health principles:Collaborative leadership: shared responsibility and open communication across sectorsCommunity-driven: lived experience shapes delivery and evaluationAsset-based: build on what works, expand innovation, measure shared impactWorkforce development: embed creative health understanding across the systemPrevention-focused: promote wellbeing at all life stagesSustainable: identify funding models that support the long termFor more information please visit the link: LeadershipProvide specialist advice and strategic leadership on creative health to the NEL Creative Health Partnership, maintaining regular contact with stakeholders including site visits.Co-design a Theory of Change and Action Plan with primary stakeholders, agreeing shared objectives and defining the role’s remit.Facilitate the development of creative health strategies, boards and demonstrator sites across the system.Contribute to the Creative Health Maturity Framework and the iterative evaluation of the wider programme.For further information please contact: Erica Deti (PCREF Lead)Erica.Deti@nelft.nhs.ukStarting with NELFTNELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period.
