Our services are designed to offer both immediate assistance and long-term solutions to help individuals rebuild their lives.Role DescriptionThis is an on-site part-time position located in Kendal for a Community DASA Worker (IDVA). The role involves providing direct support to individuals affected by domestic abuse, delivering case management, and connecting clients with resources and services within the community. Daily responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, creating safety plans, and maintaining client confidentiality while ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders. The position also requires coordinating awareness and outreach efforts to foster a supportive and informed community environment.QualificationsStrong Interpersonal Skills, including empathy, active listening, and relationship-buildingExperience in Community Support and Community Health initiatives to assist individuals in accessing relevant resourcesProficient Communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with clients and partners effectivelyBackground in Case Management, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring individualized supportKnowledge of safety and risk assessment protocols is highly desirableAbility to work collaboratively with diverse groups and within multidisciplinary teamsIDVA qualification, Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is an advantageExperience working in domestic abuse support or advocacy is a plus
