Are you someone who can take complex MI and turn it into clear actions that genuinely help a bank grow its lending and deposits book?

This is a pivotal, high-visibility role within a purpose-led UK bank known for supporting organisations that create positive social impact. While this role is firmly focused on performance, insight and operations, you’ll be doing it in an environment where how the bank grows is just as important as how much it grows.

Your insight, reporting and operational understanding will directly influence how the Commercial function performs and scales.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Commercial Lending, the Chief Commercial Officer, and also support the Chief Customer Officer on wider initiatives — regularly contributing to senior leadership discussions by providing the data, insight and clarity that shapes decision-making.

This is a hands-on, doer role for someone who loves turning data into direction.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and maintaining high-quality MI, dashboards and performance reporting across Commercial Banking
• Tracking operational efficiency, lending & deposit pipelines, onboarding, drawdowns, service levels and client servicing metrics
• Working with the Head of Commercial Lending to define and monitor meaningful KPIs and SLAs
• Analysing performance trends and providing actionable insight to senior commercial leadership
• Turning MI into a clear story that informs strategy and drives balance sheet growth
• Acting as the central point of contact for Relationship teams on process, systems and policy queries
• Supporting the Chief Customer Officer with ad-hoc initiatives and wider customer strategy work
• Supporting governance, audit and control activity with robust data, documentation and evidence
• Ensuring commercial lending operations adhere to internal policy and regulatory requirements (Consumer Duty, KYC/AML, Data Protection, FCA/PRA standards)
• Working closely with Credit Risk, Compliance, Product, Marketing, Finance and IT/Data teams to keep the function aligned
• Representing Commercial Banking in cross-functional forums, committees and governance reviews

What they’re looking for

• Experience in UK banking / financial services, within Commercial or SME lending
• Advanced Excel expertise (essential)
• Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to present insight clearly to senior stakeholders
• Someone who can interpret MI and translate it into meaningful business insight
• A self-starter who takes ownership and gets things done
• Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities
• Strong stakeholder skills and confidence operating around senior leadership
• A solid understanding of regulatory, risk and control environments within banking
