Role Summary:

As the Clinical trial Sales Lead, you will be responsible for building and owning Vet-AI’s revenue pipeline in the companion animal clinical research market. You will be the primary commercial contact for pet food manufacturers and pet care companies looking to commission clinical studies, positioning Joii’s platform as a cost-effective, technology-enabled solution for decentralised and hybrid trial designs.

You will work closely with the Head of Sales, the clinical and product teams, and attend key industry events to build Vet-AI’s profile in this specialist market.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a key revenue stream in a scaling business.

We are looking for someone in the US to support with our growth and expansion strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Co-Define and implement a sales strategy for the Clinical Trials division.
• Own the end-to-end sales cycle: prospecting, lead generation, solution scoping, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers in the pet food and petcare industries.
• Maintain a healthy, well-documented sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design solutions that deliver real value for clients.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.

Knowledge/Experience required:

Essential:

• We are looking for someone ambitious, commercially minded, and excited about scaling a business in a dynamic sector.
• Proven track record in clinical trials sales, petcare, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Experience selling into pet food companies and the wider petcare sector.
• Demonstrated success in building and managing a sales pipeline.
• Strong consultative sales skills, with the ability to design and present compelling solutions.
• Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment, comfortable building processes and taking ownership.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.

Desirable

• Established network within the pet food or petcare industries.
• Knowledge of clinical trials operations, regulatory frameworks, or R&D partnerships in pet health.
