Clinical Research Nurse – Mobile Unit | South Wales | 5-Month Contract
We are recruiting Clinical Research Nurses to support delivery of the BEST4 Screening Study, a national programme focused on improving early detection of oesophageal cancer.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a large-scale, high-impact clinical trial working across South Wales on a mobile unit.
Location: South Wales (mobile unit across multiple sites)
Contract: Fixed-term (5 months, starting June)
Rates: Competitive
Travel: Required, with occasional overnight stays
The Opportunity
This is a patient-facing, autonomous role where you will manage and deliver research clinics within a mobile clinical setting.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing clinics on a mobile unit
- Delivering the Capsule Sponge test (full training provided)
- Supporting patients throughout their research journey
- Ensuring accurate data capture and regulatory compliance
- Working closely with research teams and clinical coordinators
What We’re Looking For
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Strong clinical background (A&E, surgical wards or similar)
- Confident working independently and managing clinics
- Excellent communication and patient engagement skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel and stay away when required
Desirable:
- Research or clinical trials experience
- Endoscopy or Upper GI experience
- Experience in nurse-led clinics
