Classroom Support – SEND Full Time NEW

Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Yorkshire.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils aged 3 to 11 with a range of specific learning difficulties, helping them access education in a meaningful and supportive way.

Knowledge of EHCPs, along with relevant transferable skills, is desirable. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, adaptable, and committed to supporting children with additional needs.

The school has been recognised by Ofsted for its caring and supportive staff, as well as its warm, welcoming, and inspiring environment where pupils are encouraged to thrive.

This is a long-term position, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The Successful Candidate Will

• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update system or a willingness to obtain one
• Have relevant experience – with SEND or vulnerable individuals
• Establish a supportive and consistent relationship, promoting a positive learning experience
• Develop a knowledge and understanding of the academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of the child and respond to these effectively
• Be flexible and resilient
• Possess good classroom skills
