About The Role
BEAM are seeking casual team members to join the Welcome Team.
The successful candidates will assist Duty Managers in the day-to-day delivery of the food and beverage operation and be the open, friendly, knowledgeable face of BEAM.
Successful candidates will work ad hoc evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Candidates must be 18+
What will you be doing?
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Provide high standards of customer care at all times.
- To be familiar with the venues ever changing artistic offer of shows, films, and events.
- To be familiar with the food and beverage menu.
- Serve drinks, food, and confectionery across the building.
- To maintain the required level of cleanliness across all front of house and back of house areas as required by the Hospitality and Operations Manager (including equipment, washrooms, rooms for hire, and auditoria).
- Undertake the manual handling of goods, refuse and equipment.
- Follow stock rotation procedures to minimise waste.
- Assist customers to purchase tickets at the ticketing kiosks as necessary
- Operate all relevant aspects of the EPOS system.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Previous experience of working in a team.
- Experience of working in a hospitality and food service environment is desirable.
- A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable but training will be given.
- Experience of using an EPOS system is desirable but training will be given.
- Customer Service experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer and IT skills.
- Energy and motivation to work in a busy arts environment.
