An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cambs CARE Advocate working for Cambridgeshire Constabulary. The Cambs CARE programme and initiative are designed to create an embedded, accessible, and preventative, welfare facility for our workforce, especially for those in high-risk roles. The overriding focus of this initiative is to provide additional welfare support to our employees; it is designed to positively and permanently change force culture around psychological absence and welfare management.
The Cambs CARE Advocate role will be the cornerstone of a programme of both recommended and voluntary, diarised debriefing and consultation meetings for employees, focussing on employees in higher risk roles. These welfare conversations serve as both an opportunity to externalise and talk through issues that are being experienced and a means of identifying emerging problems and signposting to relevant agencies and internal provisions to prevent more serious and extended absences from the workplace. This is not a clinical provision.
We are looking for individuals with excellent communication skills, who is compassionate with the ability to build positive relationships and rapport with colleagues.
