About Blackmont Consulting
Blackmont Consulting is a student‑led, non‑profit consulting organisation set up in 2020. We work on real business projects for clients by providing research, analysis, and practical recommendations.
Interns work in small teams on structured business cases, gaining exposure to how consulting projects are delivered in practice.
What the Role Involves
As an intern, you will be part of a small, remote project team (6–8 students).
Tasks may include:
- Researching markets and industry trends.
- Analysing company performance and financial data.
- Supporting basic financial modelling and valuation work.
- Identifying business, regulatory, and economic risks.
- Collecting and interpreting data from credible sources.
- Developing practical solutions and recommendations.
- Presenting findings clearly to your team and project leads.
This role focuses on learning by doing. You do not need prior consulting experience.

Why is there a fee?
Blackmont is a non‑profit organisation. We do not charge clients, but we do have operating costs.
The £50 membership fee helps cover:
- Training and learning materials
- Software and tools used during projects
- Programme administration and website maintenance
The fee supports your internship development and the organisation’s operations.
Requirements
- You must be currently enrolled at a university
- Able to commit around 10–12 hours per week
- Available for at least three months
- Comfortable working remotely and meeting basic deadlines
- Willing to work in teams and contribute consistently
Experience is helpful, but it isn’t required.
