It is also one of the only remaining pubs where you can still enjoy the high tide coming to you. The Thames in Richmond is tidal and several days a month the tide is high enough to come into the garden. If it is exceptionally high then enjoy the feeling of being marooned in a pub with a pint of beer or a glass of wine as nature won’t allow you to leave.
