Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well-known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Overview Of Role
Location: Stevenage
The role of a Bakery Support Operative is to Safely and efficiently operate bakery equipment and maintaining the cleanliness of bread manufacturing plant. Working with others, achieve high levels of targeted performance, customer satisfaction and quality standards; this will be founded on a culture of continuous improvement, development and learning. It is expected that the jobholder will positively contribute to an environment where critical thinking and constructive challenging is the norm. This is a fast-paced environment job.
Key Accountabilities
Operate semi-automated Baking Machines,
Engages in the Safety-First culture and compliance with AB internal policies and procedures To deliver product quality to required standards
To contribute to the delivery of a production plan
Ensure that their own, development and training needs are identified. Participate in the proactive environment of learning (1:1’s)
To actively participate and contribute in the sharing of “Best Practice” within manufacturing
The Right Person
Essential Demonstrate a good level of Health and Food Safety awareness
Experience in shift working (ideally in manufacturing/warehouse environment)
Numerical, reading and information recording skills.
Advantageous Computer Literate (understand and interact with HMI screens)
Ability to understand basic mechanical and fault finding skills
