Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients for an Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of a high-volume, multi-cuisine restaurant. This role involves assisting senior management in ensuring smooth service, strong team performance, and excellent guest experiences across a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You will play a key leadership role in coordinating operations across front-of-house and back-of-house, supporting staff development, and maintaining high service and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager and Deputy General Manager in daily operations
• Oversee restaurant team performance, ensuring adherence to service standards and procedures
• Assist with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing development
• Support stock control, ordering, and inventory management to reduce waste and control costs
• Help create staff rotas and manage labour efficiency
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
• Handle guest complaints and service issues professionally and promptly
• Assist in financial tracking including sales, budgeting, and cost control
• Maintain high cleanliness and operational standards across the restaurant
• Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and events to drive sales
• Monitor performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement
• Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, or similar leadership role in hospitality
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations (FOH & BOH)
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Financial awareness including sales tracking and cost control
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Experience with POS and restaurant management systems is an advantage
