Role Description

This part-time, on-site role as Assistant Bar & Hospitality Manager is based in Merthyr Tydfil. The role involves overseeing daily bar and hospitality operations to ensure high levels of service and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include assisting in staff training, managing food and beverage services, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and enhancing the overall guest experience. The individual will work closely with the management team to uphold quality and support events held at the club. The role is to assist and deputise in the absence of the Bar and Hospitality Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years Front of House experience in a fast-paced bar or hospitality business. 
• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Experience in Food & Beverage and Hospitality operations to oversee service quality and maintain operational standards.
• Proven ability to assist with Staff Training to ensure team effectiveness and consistent service.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and adaptability to effectively support various types of events and daily operations.
• Prior experience in bar and event management is essential.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations, as well as licensing compliance, is advantageous.

• Flexibility and availability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and festival weekends.
