Apprentice – GSE Technician Full Time

The opportunity Join our engineering team as an Apprentice GSE Technician and gain hands-on experience within a busy workshop environment. Working alongside qualified technicians, you will develop practical skills in vehicle and ground support equipment maintenance while completing an accredited apprenticeship programme. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a long-term engineering career within a safety-focused and supportive organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist qualified GSE Technicians with servicing, maintenance, and repair activities under direct supervision.Develop proficiency in the use of machine tools and workshop equipment.Operate machinery safely following completion of relevant safety instruction and supervision.Carry out tasks assigned by the Workshop Supervisor or nominated GSE Technician to support training and development objectives.Request parts using SAP systems.Maintain work bays and surrounding workshop areas in a clean and organised condition.Ensure special tools and equipment are maintained correctly and report any defects immediately.Ensure all completed work is checked and approved by a qualified technician.Accurately complete electronic job cards, inspections, and workshop administration paperwork.Record productive and non-productive time correctly for authorisation.Support periodic servicing of vehicles and machinery under supervision.Complete electronic service and inspection documentation accurately and in line with company standards.Participate in on-the-job training, classroom learning, and e-learning activities throughout the apprenticeship programme.
