This is a fantastic opportunity to begin a skilled engineering career through a hands-on apprenticeship within a public sector environment that truly makes a difference. You will learn on the job alongside experienced electrical engineers, gaining practical experience in installation, testing, inspection, fault finding, and maintenance of essential electrical systems across the prison estate. With structured training, recognised qualifications, and real responsibility from day one, this apprenticeship offers a strong foundation for long term career progression. Future plans.
GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM services will in future be delivered by the private sector. This means that following a successful procurement process, GFSL’s services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
