ABOUT DEFY.
Defy is a UK AI technology company building tools for creative agencies. We have three live products — Defy Monitor (competitive intelligence dashboards), Defy Automate (agentic AI workflows), and Defy Report (campaign performance dashboards) — and active pilots with named agencies.
Founded by Ian Cassidy (CEO, 20 years in agencies, built SHARE Creative, led Samy to a PE exit, 50+ agency founder relationships) and Alek Farseev (CTO, AI professor and researcher based in Singapore, architect behind our technology).
THE ROLE.
Your role is to help each signed agency partner, onboard onto our stack and ensure the technology produces real value in their client work, and grow the account from there.
This is not a new-business role. It is the role that makes Defy work after the contract is signed — and turns each partner into a bigger, longer, more profitable relationship.
What you’ll do.
■ Onboard new agency partners onto Defy Monitor and Defy Automate.
■ Design, build, and deploy agentic workflows inside their live client work.
■ Configure and tailor monitoring dashboards so each agency gets real competitive insight.
■ Run regular check-ins, value reviews, and issue resolution. Make sure they renew.
■ Spot expansion opportunities and close them — Monitor-only into full-suite, full-suite into agent creation projects (£10–30k).
■ Scope, price, and deliver agent creation projects with Alek’s team in Singapore.
■ Run pilots for prospective partners Ian brings in — assessment, scoping, deployment, conversion.
You’ll be good at this if.
■ You’ve used AI tools in anger — built and deployed agents and workflows, not just prompted a chatbot.
■ You’re comfortable across the table from an agency founder or CMO and can own the outcome of a meeting.
■ You can spot where an account could grow, make the case, and close the conversation.
■ You run tight cadence and close loops without being asked.
■ You’re happy working without a playbook — early-stage businesses don’t have one.
Experience we’d prefer.
■ Agency-facing SaaS or MarTech — Brandwatch, Radarly, Sprinklr, Meltwater, Talkwalker, Similarweb, Cision, or equivalent.
■ Customer success, account management, solutions engineering, or delivery inside one of those businesses — or at a creative, digital, or integrated agency.
■ Hands-on with AI tooling — ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier / Make, n8n, agent frameworks.
COMPENSATION.
■ Basic salary, scaled to part-time or full-time commitment.
■ Percentage of net revenue on the accounts you manage — paid on expansion licences and agent creation projects, for the life of the account.
■ Significant equity on the EMI plan.
