Bernadette is VCCP’s award-winning digital experience agency. We are a friendly and knowledgeable team of 100 specialists across Strategy & Data, UX, Design, Motion, Technology & Engineering, Project & Client Services and Operations, all dedicated to creating great work across all digital channels.

The Role
This is an engineering-focused role dedicated to the practical implementation of AI. You will design the logic for AI agents and optimize how our platforms interact with LLMs, ensuring that AI features are functional, brand-safe, and technically sound.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement agentic workflows and prompt strategies.
• Develop RAG systems to allow AI models to interact with specific client data sets.
• Optimize AI performance, focusing on token usage, latency, and response accuracy.
• Work within the Python stack to deploy AI services into production.
• Benchmark AI outputs against established quality and safety guardrails
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong software engineering foundation with proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and API orchestration.
• Ability to translate emerging AI capabilities into stable, shippable product features.
Beneficial
• Experience with Python for data processing and model evaluation tasks.
• Experience with Weavy or similar.
• Experience with C#/.NET.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies for building conversational UI prototypes.

WORKING LOCATION:
Our culture values collaboration both in person and virtually, and so we’re looking for people who share the desire to spend face-to-face time with colleagues and clients. This role is based 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) in our office in Berners Street, London. On Mondays and Fridays, we generally work remotely (with the option to come into the office if you’d like). We would also ask you to come into the office for any in-person client-facing meetings or workshops on Mondays and Fridays. Some of our clients occasionally invite us to their offices and you should be happy to do this.

We are big advocates of work-life balance and allowing people to flex their hours to suit them – any day of the week. This also includes the need to work remotely on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays when you have work or life situations that make it difficult to come into the office.
