Salary – £3,867 to £3928 Pro Rated Salary) – Pay Award Pending We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to assist the After School Club Supervisor in providing a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment at Broadwindsor Primary School. Start Date: 1st September 2026 3.15pm – 5.30 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Total hours per week = 6.75 This is a Term Time Only role working 38 weeks per year Fixed term appointment. The successful applicant will need to be able to fully commit to the role. The main responsibilities and duties are:
- To carry out planned activities under the general guidance, direction and supervision of the After School Club Supervisor.
- Be a member of the team offering high quality after school care provision and attend meetings as appropriate.
- Keep records based as directed by the After School Club Supervisor.
- Share responsibility for the care, presentation, display, safety, organisation and appearance of the facilities and equipment.
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and any young people in accordance with the school’s safeguarding and child protection policy.
The successful candidate must have the required experience for this role:
- Experience in supporting wrap around care (breakfast or after school clubs)
- Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification

Broadwindsor Primary school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
